In order to make this a streamlined process, here are 5 tips on how to prepare for our appointment.

  1. Keep it private. Please do not invite friends or family to this appointment. We do a lot of work together to identify your styling intent and I have found that adding another point of view can complicate and distract us from our process; so I ask that you please do not include guests in this appointment. Due to the delicate nature of the merchandise, please excuse kids and pets from this appointment.

  2. Skip makeup and fragrance. Once again, due to the delicate nature of the merchandise, please refrain from wearing makeup and fragrance in this appointment.

  3. Consider your comfort level. Okay, so the fitting appointment is very personal- you’ll be changing in and out of clothes many times. I am used to this scenario but you may not be and I totally respect whatever level of privacy you need to feel comfortable in fitting.

  4. Expect size discrepancies. Your assortment will include pieces from many different brands. As all brands fit and measure differently (especially international size scales), don’t let size metrics drive your decisions. We are crafting a workable wardrobe so fit is critical!

  5. Remember that styling is a discovery process. Just like any other discipline, it takes time and continued effort to build a workable collection that represents you. Fittings are meant to build up your wardrobe with the right pieces that will eventually click and make styling a natural thought process for you.

It’s totally normal to feel nervous and excited for this appointment! If you have any questions before fitting, please feel free to reach out to me.
