3 WAYS TO STYLE: SACAI ASYMMETRIC JACKET

One way to make thoughtful choices about pieces you add to your wardrobe is to consider it in 3 different styling scenarios or styling sets. I’ve styled this Sacai Asymmetric Jacket in 3 ways with the belief that all 3 styles could be worn by one dynamic individual, not one jacket 3 different ways for 3 different people.

The first styling scenario is an exact pull from a client appointment last Fall. I offer this styling set for any outdoor event where you may be on your feet (exploring a city, amusement parks, sporting events, day out with kids). I intentionally styled with a cross-body capable bag and a sneaker to stay hands free and on-the-go.

This set works with a playful color palette with unexpected brights from the sneaker and all-around bright in stark white accents. Exploring, being outdoors and/or spending the day with kids is meant to be fun and I love that the orange in the sneaker connects to the orange accent in the jacket, adding a playful palette next to the dark jacket.

The second styling scenario is styled for a creative office environment. Many of my clients are client facing in creative/fashion adjacent fields. By pairing the jacket with traditionally streamlined styles- loafer, structured tote, a slim-fit turtleneck, the jacket leans more formal.

Considering the strategy meets personality aspect of my clients in industries like Real Estate, Media or Sports, I think it is important to reflect that unique dynamic in styling. In this look, I want to keep a professional tone in the tight palette but let some personality shine through the details with an olive green Chanel loafer and the barrel cut denim.

The third styling scenario is a trendy approach with a mini-skirt in a tech, sporty fabric and a chunky over-the-knee boot in a stone/parchment color. I like the softness this color brings vs using a stark white boot. I’m also adding softness to the overall look from the shearling in the same accent orange from the jacket.

This look feels cute and fresh for an influencer or fashion-enthusiast. Similar to the first styling set, it has a daytime, out-and-about feel to it, but it’s a little more fashion forward with a mini-skirt and a handheld mini bag.
